Nancy O'Dell's debut work in the industry of broadcast was as a reporter/anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a the morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD-TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's stories on the lenient police approach to DUI cases resulted in an State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the State authorities issuing an even more strict directive on the situations. Ms. O'Dell won an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell's experience in Charleston has led to her serving as a co-anchor, reporter and NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Prior to she joined Access Hollywood she was a weekday co-anchor as well as the weekend anchor for NBC. O'Dell is the anchor of choice for Access Hollywood. In addition, she contributes to NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She has covered such events as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of pre-show arrivals in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Co-hosted also for the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
